Abstract: S-07, a plant growth retardent, has ability to raise strong short rice seedlings with more tillers and roots as being used to soak rice seeds before their accelerating germination. In field, these seedlings can tolerate the transplanting damages and develop more quickly. At mature period, they have more spikes and grains per panicle, which cause higher yield than the control by 6%-7%.
