Abstract: The generaI principle. procedure of mRNA differentiaI dispIay and its application in rice genetics and breeding were summarized. The recent deveIopments of DDRT-PCR (differential display reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) in gene c1oning of rice are also described.
