Frequency of Gene Flow from HerbicideResistant Transgenic Rice to Conventional Rice Varieties

Abstract To observe the frequency of gene flow, a japonica rice 991 that contains the bar gene conferring Basta resistance was used as the pollen donor, and four conventional rice varieties as recipients were planted around it. The results showed that the frequency of transgene flow was 0.0193%-0.3960% at 0-2 m zone, but the frequencies were significantly different in different rice varieties.
